Dr. Marsha B. Cohen, MiGlobE Fellow, earned her PhD in International Relations from Florida International University. She received her BA in Ancient, Medieval and Political Philosophy from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, and completed Masters level coursework in World Religions in FIU's Dept. of Religious Studies. Her research focuses on the role of religion in international affairs, particularly in political discourse.

She has been an Adjunct Lecturer for FIU's International Relations Dept. since 1998, specializing in International Relations of the Middle East and of North Africa. She has presented papers at numerous academic conferences in the US and Canada, including ISA (International Studies Association) and ISA South, MECA (Middle East and Central Asia), CIRA (Center for Iranian Research and Analysis), the Society for Biblical Literature Annual Meeting, and the University of Toronto Centre for Medieval Studies, and the Popular Culture Assoc. She has also taught mini-courses at the Chautauqua Instititution ("Joseph in the Bible and the Qu'ran" and "The 'Clash of Civilizations' Argument and its Critics"). Her review article "A Second Fateful Triangle" was recently published in the journal Global Dialogue, a project of the Centre for World Dialogue.
