Current MAIA Students

MAIA is committed to using information technology as an essential learning and teaching tool. So, we use the UM provided Blackboard portal to its full potential. All course materials including reading, tests and discussion boards are online. The Blackboard for each course is password protected and opens automatically for currently registered students. In addition, alumni can find current information about jobs, internships and professional development on the MAIA Community Blackboard.

MyUM is another password protected service for current students. It contains the student’s essential UM information and provides a link to the student’s UM email address, through which he or she can receive Blackboard generated e-mails.

Below we have included links to Blackboard and MyUM along with links to the Spring 2007 semester’s two focal projects: a UN Security Council Simulation about the Darfur crisis and grant writing for MAIA’s practice NGOs, called MANGOs .
