Welcome to the World at Risk!

MAIA hosted a meeting of Social science departments’ chairs of the M-D County Public School. After a lecture by Ambassador Burleigh about the world crises and the US role we began a joint initiative (you can view that lecture above under Burleigh – Faculty news).

We plan to create major resource databank with materials available to high schools, undergraduates and their teachers making teaching (and self-teaching) world affairs easier. We will fundraise for the project. MAIA students might spend their internship on this project.

That project is discussed under “adopt the world: learn about it”. The “World at Risk Project will overlap with the “adopt the world” in so far as the participating students will be organizing University wide Lectures of leading US policy figures, also opened to the MD school system
